Creative business Epix Media has three great reasons to celebrate today.

The Lincoln-based digital media agency has seen a surge in its turnover, moved into much bigger premises and recruited another member of staff!

Exciting times for Directors Zoe Easey and Will King, mean the award-winning business, launched in 2010, is now in perfect shape to offer its existing clients an even better service, as well as the capacity to make the most of new opportunities.

Zoe said: “Things are going really well. Our turnover has nearly doubled over the past year. We outgrew our office at BG Futures (Newport). Now we are in one four times larger at The Think Tank in Ruston Way. We have also taken on another graphic designer, Ben Nipper.

“We enjoyed working in a centre where we had the chance to interact with other enterprises. We knew we wanted to stay in Lincoln, to be easily accessible for our local clients and close to good road and rail links for when we need to travel to visit customers outside of Lincoln. The Think Tank ticks all the boxes.

“We were delighted when Ben accepted our job offer”

“We were delighted when Ben, who will be using his skills to design and build new websites and rebrand businesses, accepted our job offer and we are hoping to be able to recruit another team member by the end of the year,” said Zoe.

“As graduates of the University of Lincoln, and a business which regularly contributes back to the university by taking part in “meet the graduates” and speaking to MA students, we are passionate about growing creative talent locally. In fact, all five of us at Epix Media graduated in Lincoln.”

Fellow Director Will King said the videography side the business has also been going from strength-to-strength and its success is being partly driven by rising interest in time-lapse video.

“We are getting an increasing number of enquiries about this service. This is unsurprising really. It offers a company or organisation a great way of recording progress on a project which can take months or years to complete.

“Examples where we have successfully used time-lapse techniques, include the filming of major construction projects, building of property extensions and the creation of interior design schemes,” said Will.

“Companies can use these to highlight the range of their expertise when bidding for new work. They also make a valuable addition to a business’ website.”

“I have managed to join a local business which is really going places.”

Graphic designer Ben Nipper is thrilled to have joined Epix Media, when he thought he might have to look much further afield for his ideal job.

“I didn’t like the idea of working in a major city and I like the friendly Northern lifestyle. I was surprised to learn about this opportunity, because there aren’t a lot of graphic design jobs advertised locally,” he said.

“Many graduates head off to London or Manchester or decide to go freelance, but I have managed to join a local business which is really going places.”

Epix Media’s growing success comes hot on the heels of it winning the Best Use of Multimedia accolade in the Lincolnshire Digital Awards, two months ago, in recognition of its partnership project with Lincoln-based Homelet. The high-profile awards ceremony took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
