It might be ready to start listening to grunge music and feeling stroppy about having only one strand of facial hair, but for the past 15 years phpMyAdmin has been everybody’s favourite system for administering databases. Since its birth on September 9th 1998, phpMyAdmin has revolutionised the way we can manage web databases without fuss.

phpMyAdmin is an award-winning free and open source tool for administering  MySQL (and similar) databases. It is tremendously successful, generating over 200,000 direct downloads every month, with new code being produced by over 650 contributors around the world, in 72 different languages!
