Directors Zoe Easey and Will King are excited by the way in which their business has developed over the past year and they are confident that their seven-year-old enterprise is poised for much more success over the coming months.
“We’ve expanded from five to a team of nine people in the last 12 months and we are thrilled to have created two new roles towards the end of 2017 which are in line with our aspirations for further expansion,” said Zoe.
“Creative Marketing Manager James Heywood has just joined us, with a brief to help tie together our specialist areas of web design, video production and graphic design and craft strategic, results-driven creative campaigns for our clients.”
James arrived hot on the heels of another prized recruit, experienced senior graphic designer Sy Crampton, who joined the team in the run-up to Christmas.
So, what has been driving Epix’s success?
“For the last couple of years, we’ve been eagerly anticipating reaching a critical point in our growth. Then, last year, we were able to grab some unexpected opportunities which were perfectly in line with our future ambitions,” said Zoe.
“2017 was also special because we were awarded a few large design projects. These resulted in our income from this service increasing seven-fold across the company. Turnover also rose by 36 percent.”
Epix Media believes that one of its strengths is its acknowledgement that clients need to see a solid, measurable return on the money which they spend on creative campaigns.
“We work very closely with our clients to develop realistic targets at the start of a project. We believe that our fresh, logical approach to being creative is why they keep returning time and again,” said Zoe.
“Without them and their loyalty throughout 2017, we would never have seen our turnover rise by more than a third.
“This year, we will be taking an even more strategic approach, not only towards winning new business but to further strengthening our relationships with existing clients. Some know us best for our website design and e-commerce services. Others are more familiar with our video services and time-lapse expertise.
“But we do much more than that, including print design and branding and we want them to be fully aware of the extent of our creative services,” said Zoe.
Epix Media is delighted to have been joined by James Heywood. The Creative Marketing Manager, who has brought 10 years’ experience to the team, has already hit the ground running by reviewing internal marketing activities and devising new strategic approaches.
Sy, who has joined as senior graphic designer, has also boosted Epix’s expertise, having brought a wealth of experience – gained working with a variety of agencies on projects for small businesses through to top brands – to the mix.
“Over the coming months we will be concentrating on rolling out plans for further growth, which will include providing clients with an exciting and comprehensive set of new integrated digital services, building on our current offering,” said Zoe.
Fellow director Will King added: “We see good prospects for further expansion as Lincoln continues to attract major investment and new brands. We are also in a stronger position than ever to service more clients elsewhere in the UK, Europe and further afield.”
